Cat & Dog Care

Keep your cat or dog healthy.

Spring Harbor Animal Hospital offers preventive care and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. Bringing your pet to one of our veterinarians for a physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep them healthy.

Exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.

Pet Medical Record Verification Tips

Medical records are official documents a veterinarian provides with details about a pet’s medical history. Details include age, breed, vaccination status, medications, and other previous medical histories. This information is typically needed for pet daycare facilities, groomers, or when you are adopting a pet.

When adding a new pet to your family, we recommend verifying your new pet’s medical records with the veterinarian listed on the document.  Unfortunately, some breeders and other organizations provide false information, misleading you and causing potential harm to the pet. If you receive medical records with Spring Harbor Animal Hospital information, please call (608) 238-3461 to verify that the pet received treatment and vaccinations at our practice.
