Welcome Dr. Galvis to Spring Harbor Animal Hospital!

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Galvis to the Spring Harbor Animal Hospital team!

Originally from Colombia, Dr. Galvis grew up in Manizales, a city located in the high altitude coffee region of the Colombian Andes. Her passion for helping animals led her to pursue veterinary medicine and attend veterinary school in Colombia. After graduating, she moved to the United States to join her husband, Ryan.

While completing the veterinary equivalency process required to practice medicine in the U.S., Dr. Galvis gained valuable experience working at several veterinary clinics in the Madison area. Her roles included working with the Humane Society, a spay and neuter clinic, and a general practice clinic as a veterinary technician.

After earning her veterinary license in the U.S., Dr. Galvis completed a one year internship focused on emergency and critical care at a local emergency clinic. She then spent several years working in general practice and urgent care before joining the team at Spring Harbor Animal Hospital.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Galvis enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan, and their two daughters, Lucia and Eliana. Their family also includes two dogs, Rigo and Pony. Together, they enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and camping, as well as traveling whenever they have the opportunity.
